Recently Completed Projects

A couple projects that have been recently completed are:

a new roof on the west side of the clubhouse; this was the only remaining section having an older roof and it had been leaking in recent months.
Installation of a new septic tank for the clubhouse. If you are at the course you will see the work by the propane tank all the way to below the pool house. Thanks to Daniel Black for clearing the lines and finding the issue during the Thanksgiving weekend.

Upcoming Projects

Renovation of Cart Shed #1

We are currently in the process of turning cart shed one into a rental cart and equipment shed. We are leasing 15 new rentals in March and will need additional room to store them in addition to our current rentals.

You will have the option to sign up for a yearly rental beginning in March for $400 annually.

All members currently in cart shed 1 will be required to relocate your carts into another cart shed prior to the end of the year. There are several nice spots available in cart shed 6 where the rentals used to be stored. When you move your cart, please let the clubhouse know which space you have relocated to in person or via email. You may email The Clubhouse here: salemmogolf@gmail.com

Other Project Coming

A couple upcoming projects are:

installing sprinklers for the new senior tees on holes 4 and 8
expanding the driving range hitting area
putting in a new leach field for the on-course restroom septic tank.

Winter Activities at Spring Creek Golf Club

Winter is Well Underway

. . . however there are still activities happening at the club in the coming weeks. Santa playing golf

We will be having a Mingle and Jingle party on Saturday December 21. We hope to have a big crowd and members are welcome to bring guests.
The Queen of Clubs drawings are ongoing at 7pm each Friday. The pot is up over $6,000 and a lucky winner could be drawn at any time. Tickets can be purchased in advance or done in person on Fridays.

We had a great time with Friendsgiving the day before Thanksgiving. There was a really nice crowd and a good time was had by all.

New Tee Placements

You will notice some piles of dirt around the course, as we are expanding or moving several of the Senior Mens tee boxes in order to make more room for additional tee placements and get closer to existing sprinklers. We hope to have this project done in the next month.

Bar Relocation

The bar was officially moved to its new location yesterday. It will still be a work in progress for the next week or two, but is looking great. Gene has done an outstanding job with the remodel. If you get a chance, stop in sometime soon and look it over.

USGA Handicap Available

This past week the Missouri Golf Association scored our course for the purpose of providing a slope and making the course available for members to obtain official USGA handicaps. There is a form attached or available in the clubhouse if you would like to sign up for the service. It is $25 a year per person. Once you fill out the form you will receive an email in a day or two which will provide the information necessary to set up your account. You can record your scores online or they also have the GHIN app available for all types of phones. Hopefully several will take advantage of this service and we can use handicaps in our leagues and tournaments at some point in the future.
