The Wednesday Evening Mens' League is still running through September. Come out and enjoy a round of golf and a meal, starting at 5:30 PM. Call the clubhouse at 573-729-3080 for more information.
There was a great turnout August 3rd for the Annual David Dittman Youth Golf tournament. A total of 21 golfers ages 6-16 participated in golf, chipping/putting contests, pizza, and swimming.
A big thanks to Wes Hampton for running the tournament again this year.
Our next tournament on the schedule is the Memorial 4 Person Scramble on August 24-25. There are only 2 more spots left for this tournament. If you have a team to enter you might want to sign up here: https://spring-creek-golf-club.square.site/
Mixed league will be ending their season with a tournament on August 15 and 22. For more information contact Ray Lewis.
The 4 person Memorial scramble will be held on August 24-25. There is a flyer attached and available in the clubhouse. There will be two tee times, 7:30am and 1:30pm. A dinner following the afternoon play will be provided as part of the entry fee as well as live entertainment.
This year's Wing Cook-off will be held October 5th. If you think you have the "special sauce", then come put your wings to the test. Contact the clubhouse for more information.
We will be offering pool parties starting in July for members and their guests on Monday nights from 5-8. The cost will be $300 which will include a certified lifeguard on duty for the duration. You can sign up in the clubhouse.
You will notice some piles of dirt around the course, as we are expanding or moving several of the Senior Mens tee boxes in order to make more room for additional tee placements and get closer to existing sprinklers. We hope to have this project done in the next month.
The bar was officially moved to its new location yesterday. It will still be a work in progress for the next week or two, but is looking great. Gene has done an outstanding job with the remodel. If you get a chance, stop in sometime soon and look it over.
This past week the Missouri Golf Association scored our course for the purpose of providing a slope and making the course available for members to obtain official USGA handicaps. There is a form attached or available in the clubhouse if you would like to sign up for the service. It is $25 a year per person. Once you fill out the form you will receive an email in a day or two which will provide the information necessary to set up your account. You can record your scores online or they also have the GHIN app available for all types of phones. Hopefully several will take advantage of this service and we can use handicaps in our leagues and tournaments at some point in the future.
